knitfest GmbH - Terms and Conditions

By purchasing a ticket or participating in the event, you agree to the following terms and conditions set by knitfest GmbH. These conditions are intended to ensure the smooth operation of the event and the enjoyment of all participants.
1. Ticket Purchase and Ownership
All tickets for knitfest are digital and issued via a third-party ticketing website. After purchase, you will receive your ticket via email.
Tickets are non-refundable and may not be resold. However, they may be transferred to another person. To do so, please contact us via email at info@knit-fest.com. The transfer is only valid upon our written confirmation.
All prices are listed in CHF and include the statutory VAT.
2. Participation and Conduct at the Event
Participants are expected to behave respectfully and considerately toward others. We have a zero-tolerance policy toward harassment, discrimination, or any behavior that negatively impacts the experience of others.
Children up to the age of 12 may attend the event free of charge when accompanied by a ticket-holding adult. All minors must be supervised at all times. The accompanying adult is responsible for the safety and behavior of the minor during the event.
Pets, including dogs, are not allowed at knitfest. If you require the assistance of a service dog, please contact us in advance as described in our FAQs. We will work with you to make the necessary arrangements to accommodate your needs. All service animals must be well-behaved and under control at all times during the event.
knitfest GmbH reserves the right to deny entry or remove individuals from the event at its sole discretion, including but not limited to those who violate these terms and conditions or the venue policies, or who behave disruptively, harmfully, or inappropriately, without a ticket refund.
The following items and activities are prohibited at knitfest: illegal substances, weapons of any kind, outside food and beverages (unless medically necessary), and any other items or activities deemed unsafe or inappropriate by the organizers.
knitfest GmbH reserves the right to confiscate prohibited items and remove individuals who violate this regulation from the event premises.
3. Workshops and Marketplace
Workshops have a minimum age requirement of 12 years. Participation limits and material requirements for each workshop will be announced during ticket sales.
Each marketplace vendor has its own terms and conditions for the purchase of goods. knitfest GmbH is not responsible for transactions or disputes between vendors and participants.
All workshop tickets are non-refundable. If a workshop is canceled by knitfest, the ticket holder will receive a full refund.
Any changes to workshop participation, including ownership transfer, accidents, illness, etc., must be communicated via email to info@knit-fest.com and are subject to confirmation.
4. Liability and Indemnification
knitfest GmbH, along with its organizers, partners, and affiliates, is not liable for property damage, theft, or loss occurring before, during, or after the event – including all satellite events – unless caused by intentional or grossly negligent behavior by knitfest GmbH itself.
Any liability for the actions of auxiliary personnel pursuant to Art. 101 para. 2 OR is fully excluded to the extent permitted by law. knitfest GmbH is particularly not liable for damages caused by third parties, including contracted service providers, suppliers, external event assistants, or other auxiliary personnel.
knitfest GmbH assumes no liability for indirect or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost profits, business losses, data loss, or intangible damages, to the extent that exclusion of liability is legally permissible.
knitfest GmbH's liability for damages resulting from personal injury or death is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Liability remains only if the damage was caused by intentional or grossly negligent behavior by knitfest GmbH itself.
All participants agree to comply with the general terms and operating regulations of the event venue, StageOne Event & Convention Hall Zürich, Elias-Canetti-Strasse 146, 8050 Zürich, Switzerland.
knitfest GmbH is not liable for damages to the property or facilities of StageOne Event & Convention Hall Zürich unless caused by intentional or grossly negligent behavior by knitfest GmbH itself.
Damages caused by visitors, exhibitors, vendors, or other participants are the responsibility of the respective persons or organizations. The venue may claim compensation according to its terms and conditions.
5. Data Collection and Privacy
We use your email address to inform you about similar events and offers. You may opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails.
Ticket sales are managed by a third-party provider, whose terms and conditions apply to the handling of personal data.

6. Health, Safety, and Accessibility
knitfest offers a spacious and accessible environment as described on our website. If you have additional needs, please contact us, and we will do our best to assist you.
All participants must comply with the health and safety regulations in effect at the time of the event. Measures may include wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, or other government-mandated requirements. Any applicable guidelines will be communicated to participants shortly before the event.
7. Photography and Media
By participating in knitfest, you agree that photos, videos, and audio recordings of you may be taken and used for promotional and marketing purposes by knitfest (e.g., on the website, social media, or print media). This use occurs without any entitlement to compensation.
Participants are welcome to take their own photos and videos as long as they do not disrupt the experience of others and comply with applicable data protection laws.
8. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property related to knitfest GmbH, including but not limited to the event name, logo, trademarks, website content, and merchandise designs, is the exclusive property of knitfest GmbH and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Unauthorized use, reproduction, distribution, or modification of knitfest GmbH's intellectual property is prohibited without prior written consent.
This particularly applies to, but is not limited to, the use of our logo, company name, and trademarks in any form.
Third parties wishing to use our intellectual property for promotional or other purposes must obtain prior written approval from knitfest GmbH.
9. Force Majeure
knitfest GmbH reserves the right to change, postpone, or cancel the event schedule and activities in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. These include but are not limited to force majeure, natural disasters, pandemics, government orders, strikes, or other emergencies.
In such cases, ticket holders will be informed as early as possible. Possible refunds or rescheduling will be handled at our discretion.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions, as well as any disputes arising from or related to them, the event, or associated transactions (including online transactions), are governed by Swiss law and interpreted accordingly.
The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from these terms and conditions or in connection with knitfest GmbH is Zürich, Switzerland.
11. Changes to the Terms & Conditions
knitfest GmbH reserves the right to change the offer, prices, and these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be updated on our website.
