knitfest - Terms and Conditions

By purchasing a ticket or participating in the event, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions, set forth by knitfest. These terms are intended to ensure the smooth running of the event and the enjoyment of all attendees.
1. Ticket Purchase and Ownership
All tickets for knitfest are digital and will be issued via a third-party ticketing website. After purchase, you will receive your ticket via email.
Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be resold. However, they may be transferred to another individual. Transfer of ownership can only be completed by contacting us via email at info@knit-fest.com. The transfer is only valid once you receive confirmation from us.
Prices are all in CHF with VAT included.
2. Event Participation and Conduct
Attendees are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and considerately toward others. We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, or any behavior that negatively impacts the experience of others.
Children up to the age of 12 may attend the event free of charge when accompanied by a ticket-holding adult. All minors must be supervised at all times, and the accompanying adult is responsible for the minor’s safety and conduct during the event.
Pets, including dogs, are not permitted at knitfest. If you require the assistance of a service dog, please contact us in advance as outlined in our FAQs. We will work with you to make the necessary arrangements to accommodate your needs. All service animals must be well-behaved and under control at all times during the event.
knitfest reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person from the event at our discretion, including but not limited to individuals who violate these terms and conditions, the venue's policies, or engage in disruptive, harmful or inappropriate behavior, without refund.
The following items and activities are prohibited at knitfest: illegal substances, weapons of any kind, outside food and beverages (unless medically necessary), and any other items or activities deemed unsafe or inappropriate by the organizers. knitfest reserves the right to confiscate prohibited items and remove individuals who do not comply.
3. Workshops and Marketplace
Workshops have a minimum age requirement of 12 years. Participant limits and material requirements for each workshop will be provided during the ticket sales process.
Each vendor in the marketplace will have their own terms and conditions regarding the purchase of goods. knitfest is not responsible for any transactions or disputes between vendors and attendees.
All workshop tickets are non-refundable. In the event that a workshop is canceled by knitfest, a full refund will be issued to the ticket holder.
Any changes in workshop participation, including the transfer of ownership, accident, sickness, etc, must be communicated via email to info@knit-fest.com and are subject to confirmation.
4. Crowdfunding
The knitfest crowdfunding campaign will be conducted on the third-party platform Kickstarter, PBC. By participating in the campaign, you agree to Kickstarter, PBC’s terms of use.
If the funding goal set forth by knitfest in the crowdfunding campaign is not met within the set time frame, backer payments will be refunded. Any purchased rewards from the campaign will not be delivered.
If the funding goal is met, set forth by knitfest in the crowdfunding campaign is met within the set time frame, backer payments will be transferred to knitfest and purchased rewards will be delivered.
5. Liability and Indemnity
knitfest, its organizers, and partners are not liable for any personal injury, theft, or damage to personal property that occurs before, during, or after the event, including any satellite events. Insurance is the responsibility of the customer / participant.
knitfest, its organizers, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from or related to the event, including but not limited to loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses.
All attendees participate at their own risk and agree to adhere to the terms and conditions and house rules of the event location: StageOne Event & Convention Hall Zurich, Elias-Canetti-Strasse 146, 8050 Zurich, Switzerland.
knitfest is not liable for any damages to the property or facilities of StageOne Event & Convention Hall, Zurich. Any damage caused by attendees, vendors, or other participants will be the responsibility of the individual(s) or organization(s) involved, and they may be held liable by the venue under its terms and conditions.
6. Vendor and Partner Participation
Separate agreements and terms will apply to vendors, partners, sponsors, speakers, teachers, special guests, and volunteers.
Vendors must ensure that their products are in line with the theme of knitfest and do not contain any offensive or profane material.
7. Data Collection and Privacy
By purchasing tickets or participating in the event, you consent to the collection of personal data for the purposes of newsletters and email promotions.
Ticket sales will be managed by a third-party service, and their terms and conditions will apply to the handling of personal data.

8. Health, Safety and Accessibility
knitfest will provide a spacious and accessible environment as outlined on our website. If additional accommodations are required, please contact us, and we will do our best to assist.
All attendees must comply with the health and safety protocols in place at the time of the event. This may include but is not limited to wearing masks, social distancing, or any local guidelines set forth by the government. These specific guidelines will be communicated to attendees closer to the event date if relevant.
9. Photography and Media
By attending knitfest, you consent to being photographed, filmed, and recorded. These photographs and recordings may be used by knitfest for promotional and marketing purposes without compensation to attendees.
Attendees are also welcome to take their own photos and videos, provided they do not interfere with the experience of others.
10. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property related to knitfest, including but not limited to the event name, logo, branding, website content, and merchandise designs, are the exclusive property of knitfest and are protected by intellectual property laws.
Unauthorized use, reproduction, distribution, or modification of knitfest’s intellectual property is strictly prohibited without our prior written consent. This includes but is not limited to the use of our logo, name, or branding in any form.
Any third parties interested in using our intellectual property for promotional purposes or otherwise must obtain written permission from knitfest.
11. Force Majeure
knitfest reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or make necessary alterations to the event schedule and activities in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government regulations, strikes, or other emergencies (force majeure). In such cases, ticket holders will be informed of any changes, and any potential refunds or rescheduling will be addressed at our discretion.
12. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions, as well as any disputes arising out of or in connection with them, the event, or any related transactions (including online transactions), shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland.
The place of jurisdiction for any disputes arising from these terms and conditions, or in connection with knitfest, shall be Zurich, Switzerland.
13. Changes to Terms and Conditions
knitfest reserves the right to amend the offer, the prices and these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be updated on our website.
